Are Ouija boards safe to use?

A Ouija board is a divination tool to contact spirits, entities, or beings not on this plane. There are good spirits, bad spirits, tricksters and everything in between. Contact the wrong one and you could have an unpleasant experience. The key to the Ouija, or any other divination tool is to not use it like a doorway. Use it like a telephone.

Like any other tool, it can be misused, but that does not mean the tool itself is evil. If you are uncertain about your abilities with any tool, do more research, see of another will demonstrate proper use, learn more until you are comfortable before attempting to use a tool on your own. This is true for any type of tool – magick or mundane. If you are untrained in a tool or not careful, you can get hurt. A knife can be used to cut someone, or to cut food for the hungry. That does not mean the knife is evil.
