How Can We Help?

Do all pagans…

Hundreds of questions get asked a day with this starting phrase. The problem is that it makes the assumptions that pagans are an organized group with similar beliefs, ideas, etc. This could not be farther from the group. Some would like to say that wiccan is a part of Paganism like Baptists are a part of Christians. While this can be a great start to an explanation, it still allows the illusion that all pagans have the same deity, and they have small disagreements on details. I prefer a different comparison. I prefer the comparison that Wiccan is a part of paganism like the Inupiaq are a part of Native Americans. Each group have their own beliefs, deities, rites, and entire culture. I like this comparison because it highlights how very different and varied each path is within paganism.

No statement can be said of all pagans except we are all human. A lot of the remaining questions include this phrasing, so I will explain when each answer is possible or not, within some groups.
